New partner: World Maritime University

The World Maritime University (WMU) in Malmö, Sweden is a new partner in our SAIL project. WMU will contribute at the Workpackages 3 and 4.

A number of sail assisted ship concepts have been proposed in the past, but a common evaluation and benchmarking study has never been conducted. A common platform evaluation tool shall be established by developing common platform for different sail assistance concepts. The tool shall be consisting elements on sail assistance device performance, sail device-ship interaction, ship hydrodynamic assessment, operational performance evaluation, route assessment, VPP, and lifecycle asessment (including emission)
